I am a Scientist at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. I have a Ph.D. in Economics and Governance of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Germany.

My research focuses on evaluation of agricultural policies like Crop Insurance, Minimum Support Prices and Agricultural Credit using rigorous mixed methods research designs. I am also working on the (Scarce)Water-(Clean)Energy–Food nexus in India.

At Indian Agricultural Research Institute, I teach courses on Econometrics (Basics and Advanced), and Natural Resource Economics for masters and Ph.D. students.

Research Focus

Agricultural Policy Evaluation

My research evaluates the impact and effectiveness of agricultural policies including Crop Insurance, Minimum Support Prices, and Agricultural Credit systems using econometric methods and field experiments.

I investigate the interconnections between scarce water resources, clean energy (specifically solar energy), and food production systems in India, with a focus on sustainable resource management and policy implications.
